Per dare certezza oggettiva al livello di qualità e sicurezza delle sue chiusure, Astro ha conseguito le due certificazioni più rigorose nell’ambito del confezionamento di prodotti alimentari:
• Certificazione ISO 22000:2005, per la progettazione e produzione di sistemi di dosatura e chiusura per prodotti alimentari in alluminio e plastica;
• Certificazione dello standard BRC Packaging, sviluppato dal British Retail Consortium (BRC), attestante la sicurezza igienico-sanitaria dei materiali da imballaggio destinati ad entrare in contatto con gli alimenti.
La normativa BRC Packaging prende il nome dal British Retail Consortium (BRC), l’ente che raggruppa tutte le più importanti catene distributive in UK.
Anni fa, il BRC ha emanato lo standard “Food Packaging and other Packaging Materials”, per assicurarsi che tutti i materiali destinati al contatto con gli alimenti e all’imballaggio dei prodotti commercializzati fossero conformi a una serie di norme molto restrittive.
Per ottenere questa ambita certificazione, costantemente aggiornata e giunta alla 6a edizione, Astro ha adeguato tutte le sue procedure interne ai requisiti richiesti:
• Intera tracciabilità dei processi produttivi
• Adozione nuovi protocolli interni di sicurezza
• Prove costanti nel Laboratorio Qualità interno per accertare la non cessione al contenuto di retrogusti o altre sostanze chimiche pericolose
• Controlli continui presso laboratori esterni accreditati per l’analisi delle microparticelle
• Protocollo GMP (Good Manifacturing Process) per il personale (abbigliamento, protezioni, formazione, ecc)
• Audit periodici da parte di enti di certificazione italiani accreditati BRC.

Years ago, the BRC issued the ‘Food Packaging and other Packaging Materials’ standard to ensure that all food contact and packaging materials for marketed products complied with a very restrictive set of standards.
To obtain this coveted certification, which is constantly updated and is now in its 6th edition, Astro has adapted all its internal procedures to the requirements:
• Full traceability of production processes
• Adoption of new internal safety protocols
• Constant tests in the internal Quality Laboratory to ascertain the non-transfer of aftertastes or
• Other hazardous chemical substances

• Periodic audits by BRC-accredited Italian certification bodies.
