Recentemente ALTECH ha fornito un sistema di stampa e applica etichette per un importante produttore di salumi italiano. Il cliente aveva espresso la necessità di apporre sulle sue vaschette sia dei “gancetti” autoadesivi (per consentire alla vaschetta di essere appesa agli appositi espositori) sia delle etichette informative sulla parte inferiore, contenenti le dovute informazioni nutrizionali, nonché le informazioni variabili necessarie per i prodotti alimentari (lotto di produzione, data di scadenza). L’intero processo di etichettatura avrebbe dovuto effettuarsi direttamente in linea di confezionamento, a ciclo continuo, cioè senza interruzioni per il cambio etichette.
ALTECH, per rispondere a queste esigenze, ha sviluppato un sistema dotato di uno specifico nastro trasportatore a nastri paralleli, che oltre a trasportare le vaschette di salumi attraverso la macchina consente alle fotocellule di traguardare dall’alto, attraverso la fessura che separa i due nastri, risolvendo così ogni problema di affidabilità nella rilevazione di vaschette anche molto sottili.
Il sistema è dotato di teste etichettatrici ALritma sia per l’applicazione superiore dei gancetti che per quella inferiore. Le teste inferiori sono accoppiate in modo che la logica che controlla il sistema, quando rileva la fine delle etichette sulla prima testata, attiva la seconda automaticamente, permettendo quindi il cambio delle etichette senza arrestare il processo di etichettatura (configurazione non-stop).

An ALTECH print-apply system to meet the labelling requirements of a major Italian cold cuts producer
ALTECH recently supplied a print-apply system to meet the labelling requirements of a major Italian cold cuts producer.
The customer needed to apply to its trays both self-adhesive hooks (to allow them to hang from display units) and the information labels on the lower portion of the tray. These labels contain the required nutritional information, as well as the variable information required for food products (batch no., expiry date etc.). The entire labelling process needed to be performed directly on the packaging line as a continuous cycle, i.e. without any interruptions for label change operations.
In order to meet these requirements, ALTECH developed a system equipped with a specific parallel-belt conveyor, which as well as transporting the trays of cold cuts through the machine, allows the photocells to be installed above and look down through the slot separating the two belts, thus preventing any reliability issues in detecting even very thin trays.
The system is equipped with ALritma labelling heads, both for the upper application of the hooks and for the lower application. The lower heads are paired so that when the system control logic detects that the first head is out of labels, it activates the second one automatically, thus allowing the labels to be changed without stopping the labelling process (non-stop configuration).
