Universal blower-filler connection module, to eliminate air conveyors problems
BBM Service has developed and manufactured the first universal module that allows you to connect a blow moulder to a filling machine, of whichever manufacturer they are also different between them; the only requirement is that they are both quality machines that meet the customer’s production needs. This machinery allows the elimination of air conveyors used to transport the bottles between the two machines, consequently solving all the problems related to it.
The module takes the name of UNICOM because it unifies and combines the two machines and has been designed to modernize and optimize PET bottling lines; it is a bench at conveying the bottles coming out of the blowing machine towards the filling system. The purpose is to shorten the transport section between blowing and filling machine in order to solve the problems related to bottle transportation over a particularly long path.
The main problems that can be solved are the optimization of the spaces in the line and the reduction of water and energy consumption, the reduction of the risks of contamination of the bottles and, last but not least, the problems of crushing and distortion of the bottles themselves. 
The new market and production needs have led to the choice of increasingly green bottles that are advantageous for the environment but not for production due to the new characteristics of the containers. Bottles made with less weight are often chosen, reducing the raw material and therefore also the costs; being lighter, however, increases the risk of being deformed along the way. Another type of bottle, increasingly used, is that produced with recycled plastic, but it also creates problems with air conveyors, these bottles often bind together reducing the functioning of the plant. The combiner proposes a star transfer that allows the protection of the containers and to overcome these problems.
The combiner is just one of the solutions that BBM’s technical department can offer its customers. Having an internal engineering office allows BBM to follow the customer in every stage and to create tailor-made solutions to meet their goals. Combinador de sopladora-llenadora universal para eliminar los problemas relacionados con las cintas transportadoras por aire
BBM Service ha desarrollado y construido el primer módulo universal que permite conectar una sopladora a una llenadora de cualquier fabricante, aunque éstas sean diferentes entre sí, el único requisito siendo que ambas sean máquinas de calidad capaces de satisfacer las necesidades de producción del cliente. Esta maquinaria permite la eliminación de las cintas transportadoras por aire para el transporte de las botellas entre las dos máquinas, solucionando así todos los problemas relacionados con el mismo.
Al módulo se le ha dado el nombre de UNICOM por el hecho de que unifica y combina las dos máquinas y fue diseñado para modernizar y optimizar las líneas de embotellado de PET; consta de un banco destinado al transporte de botellas desde la sopladora hacia el sistema de llenado. Su objetivo es acortar la sección de transporte entre la sopladora y la llenadora para así resolver los problemas asociados con el traslado de las botellas entre las dos máquinas en un recorrido generalmente particularmente alargado.
Los principales problemas que permite solucionar son la optimización de los espacios en la línea y la reducción de los gastos de agua y energía, la reducción de los riesgos de contaminación de las botellas y, por último pero no menos importante, los problemas de aplastamiento y deformación de las propias botellas.
Las nuevas necesidades de mercado y producción han llevado a elegir botellas cada vez más ecológicas que presentan ventajas para el medioambiente pero no para la producción debido a las nuevas características de los envoltorios. A menudo se eligen botellas de menor peso, lo que, al reducirse la materia prima, también conlleva una reducción de los costes. Sin embargo, al ser más ligeras, también aumentan el riesgo de deformaciones durante el trayecto. Otro tipo de botellas, cada vez más utilizadas, son las producidas con plástico reciclado, pero esto también crea problemas con las cintas transportadoras por aire, ya que las botellas a menudo se pegan entre sí, reduciendo el funcionamiento del sistema. A fin de evitar la ocurrencia de estos problemas, el combinador propone una transferencia en estrella que permite la protección de los envases.
El combinador es solo una de las muchas soluciones que el departamento técnico de BBM puede ofrecer a sus clientes.
